It's the most wonderful time of the year

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you guys had a joyful one. Anyway, we spent our Christmas at our condo unit in Eastwood City with my uncles and aunties to unwind, relax and get away from the stress. In short, takasan ang mga namamasko. Hahaha! Kidding aside, it was a very nice Christmas atmosphere at Eastwood because it's cozy there and the place was far from the noisy neighbors who use the karaoke like there's no tomorrow and from the noisy cars and motorcycles.

We had a simple celebration. We just ate lunch together, traded stories, shopped, and went swimming. We were too busy eating that's why there aren't very many photos. Haha! I just took photos at the lobby while waiting for my dad to get our car so we could go home.

Some of you might not believe me but the girl beside me in this picture is my sister. She's slim right? It's just that I spent too much time in the kitchen when I was a kid. HAHA kidding! We kinda look weird since we're already tired from eating and going around places all day. Bangag na!

You know it's Christmas when your parents force you to take pictures beside random Christmas trees.

My brother from another mother, Santa Claus! LOL

All in all, celebrating Christmas is about bonding with your family and enjoying every moment no matter how simple it may be. I hope all of you guys had a wonderful Christmas! By the way, I would just like to add that

I salute the traffic enforcers and gasoline boys who sacrificed some of their family bonding time for the sake of keeping us safe and helping us go to different places and be able to celebrate Christmas with our loved ones. How did YOU celebrate Christmas? How was it? :)

Conquering the streets of Manila

It's been a while since my last outfit post. The weather used to be unpredictable because it would be really cold in the morning. And after some time, it gets really hot especially in Manila which kind of ruins the whole outfit for the day. But now that it's December, it's a little colder which means you can dress up and do a bit of layering. I wore this outfit for a shoot with Miko Carreon. The shoot was for a special publication in our school called BLIP which stands for Benildean Lifestyle in Print. Check out Miko's post about the outfit that he wore for the shoot. I'm not really in the set of photos that will be published but I was there to help out in the shoot.

For this outfit, I went for the street style with a little bit of edge. I think the graffiti background goes really well with the outfit/photo. This was shot at The Collective. It's located at Malugay St. in Makati. It's just my second time to go there and I find the place really interesting because of its graffiti walls and novelty shops.

Dr. Martens are effortless. You're instant fasyown when you wear them. Haha! Plus they're really comfy. My aunt bought me this awesome pair of DMs from the U.S.!

This diamond necklace is one of my favorites from the DG MNL x Crave More collection.

Nike We Run MNL 10K 2012

Yesterday, I attended the Nike We Run MNL 10K 2012 event and had my first 10K run ever. The Nike We Run is a global race movement and a lot of countries are included in this event. This time, it's in Manila. I didn't expect that I will be part of this big event because I wasn't aware that this event exists 'til I read Lissa Kahayon's blog post. I found out she was giving away race kits along with VIP Passes at the Race Village. I tried my luck and I won! I claimed my race kit from PR Jandric Lim at Ogilvy.

The race kit included a bag, official race shirt, a water bottle and a D-Tag for tracking your running time.

At such an early time, people were already gathered at the Seaside Boulevard of The Mall of Asia. I wish I had a friend to run with me because it's kinda lonely and everyone else looks like they're with someone so the race would be more fun.

The race started at 5:30 a.m. I was jealous of the people who kept running like they don't run out of energy. I ran for a few kilometers and walked the rest of the course. Haha!

After a few kilometers, there was a water station. It was a life saver because my throat was drying up already. Haha! I felt bad a bit for the environment because plastic cups were all over but of course they were cleaned up after.

It was crazy because a lot of people were already on their way back while I was just about to finish half of the course.

DJs were located in different parts of the race to hype up the mood!

After an hour, I finally reached the U-Turn which means I already ran/walked half of the race and almost done.

I was glad I finally saw the finish line because my feet were already killing me. I wasn't prepared for a race this long because I'm not physically fit and I usually run 3K races only. But I still had fun!

This was the time it took me to finish the race. Haha! I was surprised because I thought it would take me 3-5 hours to finish it.

I changed my clothes afterwards and went to the Race Village with my VIP Pass.

At the Race Village, bands like Never The Strangers, Spongecola and Chicosci performed for the attendees.

There was also a Photo Booth for the runners but I didn't go because the line was too long and it was very hot that day.

I immediately went to the VIP massage because I was dead tired and I could really use a nice one.

The ate on the left was my masseuse. Both of them made me feel like I'm a celebrity because they wanted to take a picture with me. Haha! Afterwards, I took their picture and thanked them for the massage.

After the massage, I watched perform on stage. His beats made the crowd go wild!

There was also a VIP Lounge where we can stay and take a break. I saw there the very beautiful Lissa Kahayon but I was too shy too ask for a picture. Also because I thought she was another celebrity 'til saw the photos on the Nike Facebook page and confirmed that it was really her. Haha!

Giant standees and backdrops were all over the Race Village for photo opportunities.

After the race, I got a Finisher shirt! The design is really awesome. My legs still hurt but it was worth it. I wouldn't get to have this one-of-a-kind experience if it wasn't for Lissa Kahayon and Nike Philippines! Thank you very much! And thank you to Jandric Lim! 'Til the next event! :)
