Hey there guys! I haven't posted in a while and the reason I'm updating right now is because most of my final projects are over. Anyway, I've been obsessing over Audrey Hepburn and her movies. And since I'm a big fan of her, how could I say no to my friend's invitation to her debut with the theme Breakfast at Tiffany's. Don't get me wrong. I didn't attend it just because of the theme.
You see, Angelica Regala (or Marian as called by her relatives) is a close friend of mine. She was a fellow illustrator at my college's official publication and that's how we met. The rest they say is history. But enough of the back story. Here's what went down during her birthday celebration. But be warned, this is a long post filled with mouth-watering food, overflowing weirdness and a lot of fun. And maybe a little bit of mushy stuff.
There was also a live orchestra (not sure if that's the correct term) playing classic and modern songs. Can you find Noli De Castro in this picture? Haha! I also made a video greeting for her. This might be too weird for your life so watch on your own risk.
I went to the debut with some of my college friends! A party is not a party without your closest friends.
The food was prepared by Bizu. Best debut food ever! Never have I tasted food at a debut this heavenly.
A sweet moment between Angelica and her dad during the 18 roses. Aren't they adorable?
I even got the chance to meet her childhood friend Ashley Rivera, more popularly known as Petra Mahalimuyak on the internet. If you find her really funny in her YouTube videos, I swear she is funnier in person. And she's very approachable too. Pa back-to-back na lang kami sa pic. John Lloyd at Bea and peg. Lol!
At the entrance of the venue was an art gallery featuring her works printed on a canvas. It's obvious how gifted and talented she is. I'm pretty sure my friend will go places. Check out her DeviantArt account for more works!
Let's just say this Audrey Hepburn standee was abused that day.
DJ Agnes Macasaet provided the awesome party beats that night. She really knows how to set the mood! Oh and she's also my college professor! Haha!
We (my friends) had a dance showdown with Angelica's high school friends from St. Theresa's College but I was too shy to actually challenge them on the dance floor. Haha!
That's Angelica's hip and cool mom asking us to keep on dancing to the beats!
Obligatory mirror shot!
Gonna end this post with this picture of me and the debutante! Too bad the picture is out of focus. Anyways, I've said this a lot of times but I'm so proud of you Angelica! You are now a young lady :') Cheers to more weird and world-dominating days with you!
