"I joined this workshop because I don't feel productive and creative." That folks is how you depressingly introduce yourself. Kidding! Please don't do that. I think I just feel like I'm losing time for doing creative things instead of losing creativity itself. Don't even get me started with productivity.

So that's probably the reason why I joined Design Her Story's CREATIVITY + PRODUCTIVITY workshop. It's what I really need right now.

The workshop was held at Local Edition which is a really nice place to have some coffee with your friends or with yourself.

Lead by Abbey Sy and Arriane Serafico, they shared their own process in balancing creativity and productivity.

1. JUST KEEP CREATING. Always do something worthwhile. Create content, goals and opportunities!

2. STOP MOVING DEADLINES! No more cramming.

3. GO AFTER YOUR IDEAS. When inspiration strikes, drop everything and just do it!

4. Make your boring work stuff creative.

5. COLLABORATE WITH OTHER PEOPLE. I'm always open for that!

Abbey gave us these awesome stickers after the talk. They're too pretty for my life and I'm gonna feel bad for using them. Haha! I might put some on notebooks and on my laptop case for some inspiration!

There was a Pop-Up Bazaar after the workshop and we got first dibs on what they're selling. The bazaar included bloggers and artists like Reese Lansangan, Camie Juan, Maine Manalansan, Jeline and Jamie Catt, Abbey Sy and Arriane herself.

The money that I brought wasn't enough for all the stuff I wanted to buy from Reese! I personally love the vintage pins and her printed pouch. I'll post my haul here soon!

Hi Jeline! :D

I'm a huge fan of Abbey's typography and illustrations! I would certainly attend her workshop if she put up one. I'll make time to learn it on my own as well. I'd like to experiment with the combination of fashion photography and typography.

The event wouldn't be complete without Wanderrgirls!

My friends Nica and Mariel!

Maine's film cameras are to die for!

I wanted to snag these stickers from Arriane but I already spent all of my money on Reese's merch! Haha! My personal faves are the "I am meant to explore the world." and "Do one thing everyday that scares you." stickers. It makes me want to pack up and spontaneously travel to any place!

As always, I have to take a picture with Arriane! There are certainly more than five things that I learned from this workshop. It's time to get my ideas out there, create stuff and make the most of my time!

I also made a vlog on the workshop and bazaar! You can watch it here:

It's been a reaaaallly long while since I made an outfit post. I got tired of the idea of posting what you wear because honestly, who the hell cares? Also, the fact that I'm not confident with my own body and sense of style proves I shouldn't continue doing these.

Well, I wanted to try it again just for fun. This started as a fashion blog after all. My friend Dia recently started her blog which inspired me too! Her outfits are amazing and what's crazy is that most of them are thrifted! The girl has style. The looks too! Check it out HERE.

One day I'll find the reason why outfit posts are relevant. Haha! Here's to improving my sense of style! (cringes) Anyway, I am in love with Uniqlo's UT collection. I just had to wear something from SPRZ NY for an outfit post because the designs are gorgeous. I snagged this Camo shirt by Andy Warhol during Uniqlo's opening at my local mall.

Andy Warhol's signature is at the back of the shirt! So cool!

I think this is the first time I included my Herschel bag in an outfit post. It's kind of abused by now because it's the only bag I wear to school. I really need to get another backpack because I don't want to wear out this extremely expensive backpack!

I've been looking for pants that fit like joggers and I'm really glad Uniqlo had them. Topman had them also but they're mostly slim fit or too expensive. I got a really nice pair at Uniqlo for half the price! They're comfy as hell and easy to wear. Perfect for casual events and going to school. Although it's a bit tight in the *wink wink* section.

This pair of Topman shoes aren't that old but looks old (huhu) because I wear it every time I go to school (I don't have a lot of shoes) and some streets in Manila are really dirty. Recently I wore my brand new Original Penguin shoes in Taft and they got really dirty in just a day. Bad decision.

My dad got me this pair because it was on sale. My eyes are currently on plain white skateboard shoes because of how classy they look. I also want to learn how to penny board if it can carry my weight.

I’m introducing a new series on my blog where I show you some of the (kinda) old but still precious magazines that I find in book stores and magazine stands such as Book Sale. One of my annoying habits is impulse buying and I decided one day to just go to that store and look for magazines that might interest me. Now that’s how this blog post got born.

For the first one, I bought a magazine called Surfer. I don’t know how to surf but I’ve always been interested in the culture/sport. It’s kind of frustrating because I think I’ll never be able to surf because I’m wearing glasses. There’s a 100% chance that it’ll fall in the sea. If I wore contacts, it’s going to meet the same fate. Maybe one day!

I haven’t read the magazine yet but I loved the photography after skimming it. What I noticed is an abundance of advertisements which make it hard to distinguish which one's an article and which one's an ad.

Next up is Nylon Guys Mag which I got for only Php 70 ($1.6). I don't care if it's an old issue because I don't have this one yet. New issues of Nylon here are so overpriced! It's double the price of the original one. This is my second issue of Nylon Guys. The first copy I had was the one with Casey Affleck on the cover. I'm planning to get the cover with Aaron-Taylor Johnson next if it's available.

I really love the contents in Nylon Guys that's why I stopped reading every other guys' fashion mag except for GQ. I'd love to work for them one day!

The part of the magazine that I most look forward to are the fashion editorials. I just really love fashion photography and the themes you can explore with it. That's a career I'd like to have one day besides the many things I want to be. Haha!

Because of the great content, you'll actually read the whole magazine and not just skim through it.

The last one is New York magazine. The main reason I bought this is because I love all things New York. And because this IS New York Magazine. This is your basic guide to life and culture there. I can't believe a new issue comes out every week!

There's just so much stuff to read about. It would be a dream come true if I settled (maybe) and had a graphic design career (definitely) there.

My favorite part of the magazine are the ads for Broadway shows! So that's it for the first issue of my Magazine Picks. Hope you guys liked it. I'll definitely be looking out for more magazines soon. Comment below what your favorite magazine is and I'll check it out!
